"The aim of studying this book is to better understand and improve our humanity."

With the restrictions and closings of our masajid around the country due to the coronavirus epidemic. We believe that Muslims should now increase their efforts to learn, study, and grow in our Deen. The Lamppost Education Initiative is pleased to present this extended online session with Dr. Abdullah bin Hamid Ali in this study of a classical, Islamic text: Adab al-Dunya wa al-Din (The Etiquette of Worldly and Religious Affairs)

Who is Abu Hasan al-Mawardi?
A brief bio on the life of Mawardi.

The review of this book is consistent with our aims at Lamppost to provide English- speaking Muslims with relevant content from our great Islamic intellectual tradition. It is a work filled with rich insights for our moral, ethical, and spiritual development. Every week, Dr. Ali will read and translate selections from the book with explanatory commentary. The classes will be LIVE, and you can view them here on our website page. Previous recordings of the live sessions will be edited and uploaded to this webpage.
