Al-Ghazzali & Why He Used Weak Hadiths

This excerpt is from a two-part seminar taught at the University of San Francisco in early 2012 on a chapter from Imam Abu Hamid al-Ghazzali’s magnum opus (Ihya’ ‘Ulum al-Din) entitled “Breaking the Two Desires.” In this clip, Shaykh Abdullah bin Hamid Ali offers a brief bio of the Imam, and explains the reasons behind his attribution of weak hadiths to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in his works.
