Lamppost Projects and Efforts
During the first ten blessed days of Dhul Hijjah, it is highly recommended for us to increase our worship of Allah ta’ala. The rewards for acts of worship are multiplied during this time. Our Prophet (saws) said:
“There are no days wherein good works are more beloved to God than during these ten .” Prophet Muhammad (saws)
During this blessed time, we ask that you consider supporting the efforts of the Lamppost Education Initiative. We have the following projects that we are diligently working on to help our Muslim community in critical areas of need:
1. The Muslim Funeral Guide
This book is now available for purchase. This work is an excellent, easy-to-read guide for Muslims and Non-Muslims in matters related to the Janazah prayers service, Muslim attitudes towards life and death, burial, and more. The book also provides a way for new Muslims to prepare a will, answers questions that non-Muslim family and friends may pose about our burial and funeral services. Our goal is to distribute copies of this work FREE as a resource for non-Muslims and Funeral Directors all over the country. Please click HERE for more details.
2. Connecting Our Youth with the Qur’an: A Youth Retreat
We are planning a unique retreat for Muslim youth to help young Muslim boys better understand how the Qur’an guides them to manhood. This retreat will be held at Indian Springs State Park in Georgia on the weekend of Oct. 1st, 2021. We want to make this a FREE event for at-risk Muslim youth. Stay tuned for more details on this effort.
3. Controversial Issues with Marriage and Divorce
Lamppost plans a series of talks, articles, and seminars to address current issues related to marriage and divorce. We are currently offer “The Married Life in Light of Imam Malik’s Muwatta,” taught by Dr. Abdullah bin Hamid Ali. This course is FREE, and registration is now open. Please click HERE for details.
These are just a few of our ongoing projects. Lamppost needs your support. It is our goal to raise a modest $10,000 during these 10 Days of Dhul-Hijjah. Your contribution will go towards the efforts mentioned above and provide much-needed Islamic educational services for our community.
We love to hear from you. If your have any questions about our upcoming programs and efforts please fell free to leave us a message below.

Why should YOU Support the
Lamppost Education Initiative
Join the effort to provide our community with relevant, Islamic knowledge for Muslims in America. For years, Lamppost has been a small struggling organization providing vital services at low to no cost for thousands of English-speaking Muslims in the United States, Canada, and the UK.
We are underfunded in large part due to our adamant refusal to adopt or promote any concept or ideology that contradicts the Qur’an, the Sunnah of our Prophet (saws), and the consensus of our ulama as it relates to the normative, transparent mores of Islam.
Frankly, this means that Lamppost depends upon the donations of our Muslim community for support in the endeavor to educate and uplift humanity to the message of Islam.
