Lamppost Projects and Efforts

The Lamppost Education Initiative (Lamppost) seeks your help in continuing the Islamic educational services we have provided for 17 years. Over the years, your support has provided essential Islamic traditional knowledge to Muslims all over the world. The Lamppost Education Initiative is devoted to giving Muslim-American scholars and teachers an intellectual platform to address our religious concerns to English-speaking Muslims worldwide. We are committed to tackling challenging issues that confront our community and providing rich insights based upon scholarly rigor that is committed to the epistemological foundation of the Qur’an and the Sunnah of our Prophet (saws)

We like to thank you for your support during the blessed month of Ramadan. During this time, the Lamppost Education Initiative raised

Your support is needed as we  embarking on the following upcoming projects to meet the needs of our community.

We intend on conducting this conference later this year with an emphasis on economic development.

4. Connecting Our Youth  with the Qur’an: A Youth Retreat

5. Controversial Issues with Marriage and Divorce

Lamppost plans a series of talks, articles, and seminars to address current issues related to marriage and divorce. One post-Ramadan course we are offering is “The Married Life in Light of Imam Malik’s Muwatta,” taught by Dr. Abdullah bin Hamid Ali.

More details will be coming soon on these projects and more of our efforts to provide much-needed Islamic educational services for our community.

For years, Lamppost has been a small struggling organization providing vital services at low to no cost for thousands of English-speaking Muslims in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and all over the globe. The COVID-19 crisis has made our struggle to sustain our operations all the more difficult.

Why should YOU Support the
Lamppost Education Initiative

Join the effort to provide our community with relevant, Islamic knowledge for Muslims in America. For years, Lamppost has been a small struggling organization providing vital services at low to no cost for thousands of English-speaking Muslims in the United States, Canada, and the UK.

We are underfunded in large part due to our adamant refusal to adopt or promote any concept or ideology that contradicts the Qur’an, the Sunnah of our Prophet (saws), and the  consensus of our ulama as it relates to the normative, transparent mores of Islam.

Frankly, this means that Lamppost depends upon the donations of our Muslim community for support in the endeavor to educate and uplift humanity to the message of Islam.
