Support the Lamppost Education Initiative
The Lamppost Education Initiative (Lamppost) needs your support in hosting our Third Annual Black American Muslim Conference. COVID-19 epidemic has placed a significant economic and social burden on Muslims throughout America and the world. With the restrictions imposed on live events due to the epidemic, we have decided to conduct the 2020 Black American Muslim Conference as a live virtual event for FREE to address critical issues to the Black American Muslim community.
Supporting Islamic Education
Your support is needed to help us conduct this Conference and other online Lamppost educational efforts during this epidemic, while access to the masajid is limited. Please support this effort by making a tax-exempt donation to the Lamppost Education Initiative. Your donation will help to provide more Islamic education services during this crisis and beyond. We have set a modest goal of $10,000 by the weekend of October 24th, 2020. Help us to reach this goal.
The Lamppost Education Initiative is devoted to providing the intellectual output of Muslim American scholars and teachers to English speaking Muslims throughout the world. For years, Lamppost has been a small struggling organization providing vital services at low to no cost for thousands of English-speaking Muslims in the United States, Canada, and the UK. Our website features notable Muslim scholars like Dr. Abdullah bin Hamid Ali, Dr. Khalid Yahya Blankinship, Ustadha Zaynab Ansari, Shaykh Khalil Abdur-Rashid, Imam Dawud Walid, Dr. Sherman Jackson, Shaykh Walead Mosaad, Imam Zaid Shakir, Ustadha Nour Goda, and many more.
Why should YOU Support the
Lamppost Education Initiative
Join the effort to provide our community with relevant, Islamic knowledge for Muslims in America. For years, Lamppost has been a small struggling organization providing vital services at low to no cost for thousands of English-speaking Muslims in the United States, Canada, and the UK.
We are underfunded in large part due to our adamant refusal to adopt or promote any concept or ideology that contradicts the Qur’an, the Sunnah of our Prophet (saws), and the consensus of our ulama as it relates to the normative, transparent mores of Islam.
Frankly, this means that Lamppost depends upon the donations of our Muslim community for support in the endeavor to educate and uplift humanity to the message of Islam.
